Realtor's wife held for murder

The Jnanabharati police have arrested Vrinda, the second wife of realtor Krishnappa, who was kidnapped and killed on February 25. 

The police arrested her when she came to 5th ACMM court in the City to surrender on Wednesday. Vrinda had allegedly conspired with her brother Putte Gowda and his friends to murder Krishnappa, following marital discord and property disputes.

Among 15 persons involved in the crime, 13 have been arrested, said a senior police officials. The search is on for one suspect while custody of another suspect, who is serving jail in another case, has been sought, said the police official. 

Child killed in accident

A two-year-old boy was killed and his mother sustained injuries in an accident on Outer Ring Road near CMT Junction in Yeswantpur on Thursday night.

According to Yeswantpur traffic police, Gangamma, 45, from Kolar had come to the City with her husband Mani and son Kuber. They stayed in Goraguntepalya and worked as construction labourers.

On Thursday night, at around 8.30 pm, Gangamma, with Kuber in her arms, was trying to cross the road when a speeding bike hit them. The child was tossed up in the air and fell, while the mother was knocked down by the bike. Hemanth, the biker also suffered injuries.

The passersby immediately rushed the three to a nearby hospital, but the child was declared brought dead. Gangamma and Hemanth are undergoing treatment, added police.
