<p>Anju Bobby George has been officially recognised as the gold winner in long jump at the 2005 World Athletics Final in Monaco.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Anju was elevated to the first place after Tatyana Kotova, who won the gold then, was disqualified for doping on a re-test of her sample from the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki. <br /><br />On Tuesday, Paul Hardy, IAAF Competition Director, wrote to Athletics Federation of India secretary C K Valson, confirming the news. <br /><br />“The IAAF is happy to confirm that due to subsequent disqualification, Anju Bobby George is now first at the 2005 Grand Prix Final in Monaco,” Hardy wrote.<br /></p>
