'From coffee crop to cup' on Dec 13

Addressing a press meet, Rotary President S K Sathish said nearly 400 coffee growers are expected to take part in the workshop.

There will be demonstration on coffee harvest, drying of coffee and how the coffee rates change daily in the international market.

Eight experts will deliver lectures on Cafe Coffee culture.
Apart from this, the experts will also throw light on the fertilisers. Coffee Board President G V Krishna Rao will take part. Coffee grows in shade.

In one acre coffee estate, nearly 300 to 350 trees are grown. When the Centre is spending so much money on preserving forest, the coffee growers are preserving trees in their estate. In this background, coffee growers should be given the tree right ownership, he added.
