The first and second rounds of the JK Tyre-MMS Rotax Max Kart Open 2014 will be held at the Kart Centre, Lahari Resorts, here this weekend.
Rayo Racing, Dark Don Racing, India Karting, Mohites Racing and Meco Racing will be competing for the top prize in three categories -- the Micro Max, Junior Max and Senior Max categories.
This event is a preparatory event of sorts ahead of the National Karting Championships. While regular karters will looking to fine-tune their skills ahead of the Nationals, rookie drivers will hope to get good exposure against seasoned drivers and competition-like track.
Last year’s Rookie Champions -- Micro Max Champion Paul Francis, Junior Max Champion Tejas Raman and Senior Max Champion Arjun Srikant -- will be vying for top honours in the Kart Open Overall category.
