A woman, who was on a visit to a park near RML Hospital in central Delhi late on Tuesday night, was allegedly gang-raped by three men.

While two of the suspects were arrested during the wee hours of Wednesday, the third was nabbed on Thursday.

The 35-year-old woman told police she had gone to the park for attending nature’s call.

She was accompanied by a male relative and the duo had come to the hospital for a check-up.

They were waiting for a conveyance when the woman went into the park near gate number six of the hospital.

“Just as she entered the park at around 11 pm, three men who were there since before, began passing lewd comments at her,” a police officer said.

They then pulled her to a dark corner and took turns to rape her.

Her relative, meanwhile, came to the park searching for her and noticed them raping her.

He tried to raise an alarm, but the men allegedly thrashed him.

The woman told police that she too was beaten when she tried to resist their act.

The accused fled soon after. The duo – the woman and her realtive – raised an alarm after that.
A police team arrived at the spot and launched a search for the trio.

Based on the victim’s description of the suspects and after questioning some locals, police managed to nab two suspects Brijmohan and Tarun.

The third suspect Kishandas was arrested on Thursday. They have all been sent to 14 days in judicial custody.

Brijmohan and Kishandas were revealed to be involved in other criminal activities in the past.

Based on the woman’s complaint, a case was registered at Mandir Marg police station.
