The Ozone Group has said that it had got the No Objection Certificate (NoC) from the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) for its housing project way back in 2005.

Reacting to a report which appeared in these columns on May 13, that a police complaint was filed by the residents that the company had misled them by furnishing a fake NoC from BWSSB, the Ozone Group Vice President (Business) Shreekant Shastry said the company has a valid NoC from BWSSB for its residential apartment in Sy Nos 53 and 54 of Kasavanahalli in Varthur hobli of Bangalore South taluk.

The firm has provided a photocopy of the NoC dated August 8, 2005. The company said that the deposit money collected from customers is for providing water, electricity and sewage facilities and not just for Cauvery water connection.

It said that all eligible customers, as per the agreement between the developer and customers, have been awarded delay compensation. In the case of one Raman Singh, Karnataka State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission has stayed the order passed by 3rd Additional Bangalore Urban District Disputes Redressal Forum, the firm said.
