Man praises Modi in his suicide note

A 50-year-old man allegedly wrote a suicide note addressing Prime Minister Narendra Modi before hanging himself to death at north Delhi’s Burari on Thursday morning.

Congratulating Modi on becoming the PM, Radheshyam Prasad praised him for ending the ‘dynastic’ Congress rule.

The Congress party had only the Gandhi family at the helm, its rule had to come to an end and only Modi could have done it, he wrote.

A father of three sons and two daughters, Prasad then went on to blame his children for being more attached to their maternal uncles than to their paternal relatives.

He said his children ignored their paternal grandparents and compared their behaviour to that of the Gandhi family, which allegedly adopted a similar approach, a police officer told Deccan Herald.

Calls kids Kauravas

He also chose to compare his children to the Kauravas in Mahabharata who were influenced by Shakuni mama and met their doom.

In the note, he accused his wife of diverting all the family money to her own parents and brothers.

The officer said he was also angry over his in-laws interfering in his family’s day-to-day life.

He was found hanging from the ceiling fan of his house at Burari’s Dharamveer Colony by his wife at about 11.30 am on Thursday.

His family immediately informed police who arrived and brought down the body. The suicide note was found in his pocket.

The victim ran a mobile charger factory in the area.

He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead by doctors. A post-mortem was conducted and body handed over to his family members.

A case has been registered at Burari police station and the family members are being questioned.

The family often fought among themselves over the issues mentioned by him in his suicide note, said the officer.
