Homemaker ends life

A 33-year-old homemaker committed suicide at her residence at BHEL Layout in Kenchanahalli on Sunday morning.

According to police, Soumya was married to Mukesh, a medical representative, three years ago.

They were living on the first floor, while Soumya’s parents were living in the ground floor.
Police said that Mukesh had objected to staying with his in-laws and used to quarrel  frequently with Soumya over the issue.

Recently, he told her that they would soon be moving to an apartment he had taken on rent. But Soumya opposed the move.

According to police, a miffed Mukesh left for the apartment four days ago and did not return. It is said that this prompted Soumya to kill herself.

The incident came to light when Soumya’s parents went to check on her in the bedroom.
