Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) officials said that the fallen tree was cleared soon. Traffic jams and slow moving traffic were reported at MG Road, KR Puram, Halasur, Frazer Town, Old Airport Road and Cubbon park area for two hours.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) Bangalore Director, B Puttanna, said that Bangalore would receive moderate rainfall for next two days.

"This is because of the presence of upper air cyclonic circulation over Lakshadweep area extending between 1.5 km and 4.5 km above sea level," he said.

He added that in the last one week, there had been isolated rainfall in City.

"In the first and second weeks of June, the City received a good amount of rainfall. In the third week there has been decline in rainfall received. However, it is a normal phenomena as Bangalore has already received 141.4 mm of rainfall till date which is above normal for this month. In July, heavy rainfall is expected,” Puttanna said.
