CM talks while voting

BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu who was in Bangalore on Friday to douse the fresh rebellion by BJP MLAs called B S Yeddyurappa over telephone while the latter was in the polling booth in Shikaripur. It was the call which CM could not avoid and he cast the vote while conversing with Venkaiah Naidu.

CM left Shikaripur in a hurry cancelling the pre-scheduled programmes to meet Venkaiah Naidu. Election Commission has barred carrying cell phones and camera inside the polling booth. Yeddyurappa’s voting during the Lok Sabha election also had created controversy as the election officer had marked indelible ink on his right finger.

Earlier in the day, speaking to media persons, CM expressed confidence that BJP will won more than 50 percent seats in the election. He reiterated that State Government is safe. On Governor’s ire against mining activities in the State, CM said that if need arises he is ready to meet him to provide the necessary information.
