<p>A Mumbai-bound Indigo Airlines flight, carrying 101 persons, made an emergency landing at the city airport here today after a bird hit the airplane after its take off, Airport officials said.<br /><br /></p>.<p>"A bird-hit incident was reported with the Ahmedabad to Mumbai Indigo flight 6E- 244 with 95 passengers and the six crew-members on board soon after the take off from airport here," Ahmedabad Airport Director R K Singh told PTI.<br /><br />The pilot reported the bird-hit incident and flight was allowed to land back at the Ahmedabad airport, he said.<br /><br />All the passengers are safe and majority of them have boarded another flight provided by Indigo Airlines from Ahmedabad to Mumbai, Singh said.<br /><br />The official said that since it was a natural incident, no inquiry will be conducted.<br /><br />Two rotors of the plane were found damaged in the incident, another airport official said.<br /><br />This is the first 'bird- hit' incident near the airport this year. Ninteen bird-hit incidents were reported in the year 2010, while 18 in 2011, 13 in 2012 and three in 2013, he said.</p>
