20 State policemen to get Prez Police Medal

As many as 20 policemen, including officers, from the State have been selected for the President’s Police Medal on the eve of Independence Day.

Three senior IPS officers have been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and 17 other policemen of different ranks, including two IPS officers, have been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service.

The senior IPS officers, who have been selected for the Medal for Distinguished Service are Kamal Pant, IGP (Grievance Cell), Bangalore, Dr  S Parashivamurthy IGP, Eastern Range, Davangere and B A Padmanayan, DIGP, State Intelligence, Bangalore.
