JOIN USMembers of the public caught Moinuddin for allegedly selling milk powder meant for the ‘Ksheera Bhagya’ scheme in the black market, at Guggarahatti on the outskirts of the city on Wednesday.
Milk is provided to schoolchildren under the scheme. Moinuddin is the husband of an honorary teacher working at the government higher primary school.
He was allegedly transporting 50 packets of 1 kg each on his bike in the afternoon.
Moinuddin claimed that the head mistress had told him to keep a bag containing the packets in a safe place and that he did not know it contained the milk powder packets.
The head mistress went missing when the news of the incident spread.
Some of those who took part in the raid said that milk was not being distributed properly in the school.
