Devdutt's fine show spurs St Joseph's

Devdutt Padikkal followed up his century with a 11-wicket haul for the match to set up St Joseph’s Boys’ High School’s innings and 11-run win over Holy Saint English School in the inter-school tournament (under-16, Division I) for the KSCA Cup here.

Riding on Padikkal’s 138 (151b, 20x4, 2x6), St Joseph’s posted a heathy 313 for nine in 70 overs. In reply, Holy Saint managed a paltry 176 all out in their first essay, Padikkal (4/43) and Aamir (4/37) causing the major damage. Following on, Holy Saint fared even worse as they were packed off for 126 in 56.3 overs. Padikkal added seven (7/55) more to return impressive figures of 11/98 for the match.
