Congress stages protest against Minister for Energy

District Congress staged a protest against Eshwarappa on Wednesday and held a mock funeral in the city by taking out a procession of an effigy from old Taluk Office premises to Mescom office.  Addressing the gathering later, he said that people do not even feel that there is a Minister for Energy in the state. Eshwarappa has also forgotten the fact that he is the District-in-Charge Minister too.

He said that the government which promised to provide free electricity to the farmers has been sending bills of about Rs 10,000 to the farmers.

The protesters observed silence for minute as a part of the mock funeral. Leaders K B Mallikarjuna, Vijay Kumar, Sandeep, C H Lokesh and others were present.
