OKO’, the Pan Asian rooftop restaurant which enjoys the view of the golf course from Kumara Krupa Road, is all set for a make-over in its menu. Along with that, the restaurant is introducing a Sound Bar — a new way to enjoy the food and beverage while having an amazing sound experience.

New and innovative dishes from Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Korea, Indonesia and Malaysia will find place in the new menu.

Chef Vijay Thapliyal along with executive sous chef Gopal Jha, Thai master chef, Paitoon Panphan and Chinese master chef, Lee Camp Fung have specially designed the new and enticing menu, which includes a melange of vegetarian and non-vegetarian Teppanyaki cuisine, oriental grills, rolls, main dishes, starters, salads, soups and desserts.

While dishes like kai haw baitoye, ‘chilli crab’, pla laad phrik and hed himaphan are there to stay because of their popular demand.

Those like thord man khad phad, Penang poo, plameuk thord and ‘kafir lime baked yogurt’ will be crafted by the chefs to delight the senses of all.

Some of the recommended dishes include satay udang (char grilled prawns with Asian spice), ‘fish with Malaysian spices’ (John Dory flavour with shallot, garlic and dried shrimp), yaki udon chicken (Japanese thick noodle in tonkatsu sauce with prawn), California uramaki and Tom Yum kai (traditional hot Thai soup with lemon grass and galengal flavour). One could choose between the quiet indoors and the outdoors that overlook the serene golf course.

‘OKO’ is located at The Lalit Ashok, Kumara Park East, Kumara Krupa High Grounds.
