AICUF state convention from today

Addressing a press meet on Saturday, Karnataka AICUF State Animator Manoj Louis said the theme of the convention is “Redefining the future: The role of youth today.’ The eucharistic celebration will be presided by Archbishop of Bangalore Rev Dr Bernard Moras, Mangalore Bishop Rev Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza will concelebrate.

The convention will be attended by Yenepoya University Vice-Chancellor Dr Sayed Akheel Ahmed, CASK President Justice Michael Saldanha and others.

In the three days convention, various sessions on ‘youth today,’ ‘youth and education: context of globalisation,’ ‘entrepreneurship,’ employment, civil society and youth in a global world, globalisation and ecology, climate change, gender issues, youth and politics and communalism and identities in a globalised India will be held, he explained.

About 200 participants from all over Karnataka and other parts of India will take part in the convention. In 2010, the AICUF will be celebrating 85th years of its existence with national convention which will be held between June 2 and 6 at Loyola College in Chennai, he added.
