Lokayukta police have filed 'B' report in my case: Qamarul

Minister for Municipal Administration, Minorities Welfare and Wakf Qamarul Islam has said the alleged case of him using Wakf property for personal use was investigated by Gulbarga Lokayukta police in 2007 and had ended in submission of a ‘B’ report.

Islam said former minister S K Kantha had filed a private complaint following which an investigation was ordered.

Islam’s statement is in response to the Bangalore Lokayukta police recently registering a FIR in the same case after the Lokayukta special court ordered for investigation in respect of the same property (survey number 12 of Badepur measuring 8 acres 34 guntas). The complaint was filed by one Tabrez Pasha of Kolar.

The minister also stated that another social worker Prakash Benakanahalli had filed a similar private complaint before the JMFC court in Gulbarga in 2004. The court had dismissed the complaint in 2005.
