JOIN US In yet another incident of child sexual abuse, a three-year-old girl was allegedly molested by her 35-year-old neighbour in Dasarahalli on Monday.
Yedukondala, a labourer from Andhra Pradesh, is suspected to have molested the child when she came to his makeshift shed while he was about to sleep. A while later, the girl’s mother came out looking for her and heard her crying in the neighbour’s house.
The worried woman rushed to that house only to find Yedukondala undressed and the child in his lap. She sprinted to rescue the girl from the man and summoned all the neighbours. Later, the residents went to the Amruthahalli police station and made a complaint.
The police arrested the suspect who is alleged to have been drunk when the incident occurred. He has been booked for molestation under the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.
