<p>The Uttar Pradesh government has set its eyes on a mono rail project that would connect Noida with Agra.<br /><br /></p>.<p>After the foundation stone was laid for expressway between Agra and Lucknow Sunday, the state government now intends to launch the mono rail project soon.<br /><br />Officials said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has given his nod to the project that envisages the mono rail covering the 200 km distance between Noida and Agra in an hour. <br /><br />A high-powered committee at its meeting Nov 19 in Lucknow discussed the project. Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan said the mono rail would benefit Agra in a big way.<br /><br />The Noida Metro Rail Corporation was asked to execute the project. <br /><br />The mono rail would connect the Mahamaya flyover in Noida, the Buddh International circuit and Mathura with Agra. An official said the mono rail will run along the Yamuna river.<br /></p>
