The accused Shakunthala was caught red handed while receiving Rs 1,700 as bribe from one electrical contractor K Suresh.
Suresh had applied for an electrical licence.
Lokayukta Sub Inspector R V Gangadharappa and other officials took Shankunthala into cusody.The accused has been produced before the local court.
