Nitesh all-round effort spurs Gnana Teja

Nitesh came up with a fine all-round performance to fashion Gnana Teja English School’s 84-run win over Jnana Sweekar Public School in the KSCA inter-school under-14 tournament (Div I) for the BT Ramaiah Shield here.

Nitesh top-scored with 79 as Gnana Teja HS posted a massive 245 for eight in 30 overs. Nitesh then returned to claim 3/23 to help his school roll over JSPS for a modest 161 in 23.4 overs.

In another game of the day, Baldwin Boys’ High School got the better of Cambridge Public School with a three wicket win.

Batting first, the boys from Cambridge were packed off for a modest total of 124 in 23.5 overs. In reply, Baldwin chased down the target in 29.3 overs for the loss of seven wickets.
