JOIN USTaking dining out to a different level is eatery ‘Dice N Dine’ in Koramangala, which serves lip-smacking food and allows customers play fun board games at the place.
This eatery was opened by Arun Prabu, an IIM graduate. “I was always interested in the food industry. But I didn’t just want to open an eatery for the sake of it. Since I’m a board game enthusiast, I decided to add this to the place. And the concept has picked up well,” says Arun.
He says that he has often noticed that when people dine, they also chat and message on their mobile phones. “I also wanted to create a venue for people to have quality time.
Introducing such a concept helped increase interaction among people and this is why it clicked,” he says. He adds that the weekends see a mixed crowd, which consists mainly of youngsters. “People also come with their families,” he says. The most popular games here are ‘Anomia’, ‘The Settlers of Catan’ and ‘Ticket To Ride’. He says that there is a cover charge, which is redeemable on the food and beverage bill. “There is no extra charge on games, when the customer indulges into the food too,” he says.
‘Dice n Dine’ offers pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, a variety of egg specialities and main course items like ‘grilled chicken with mashed potato’ and ‘spicy chicken drumsticks’, along with milkshakes and ice teas. “The most sought-after items are pizzas, nachos and chicken wings,” he says.
