Staff from Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), who have been running the Animal Birth Control programme of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), on Saturday, protested at the Palike head office, demanding clearance of their bills pending for more than a year.
The NGOs rued that they have not received payments despite carrying out sterilisation of dogs, administering anti-rabies injection, vaccinating them, among others. Animal Activist and Secretary of Action for Animal Justice, Ravi N alleged that their bills had not been cleared since April 2013 .
