<p>NCP president Sharad Pawar was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital and Research Centre here on Wednesday after he injured his leg after a fall at his New Delhi residence during a morning walk. <br /><br /></p>.<p>A late PTI report said the NCP chief is scheduled to undergo surgery for the injury. “Pawar sustained leg fracture after a fall at his Delhi residence. Doctors will perform a minor surgery and mend the injury point on his leg,” senior NCP leader Praful Patel told reporters. <br /><br />Patel added that Pawar was brought to Mumbai for treatment as the doctors who treat him regularly are in Breach Candy hospital. The 73-year-old veteran politician went to Mumbai in an air ambulance from the national capital. From the airport, he was rushed to hospital. <br /><br />He was accompanied by wife, Pratibha, and daughter, Supriya Sule, in the air ambulance.<br />A team of doctors is monitoring his condition. Pawar’s nephew and former deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, who was to undertake a tour of drought-affected areas, cancelled the visit.</p>
