Speaking to reporters, he said if the opposition parties have any faith left in them on democracy, they much take action against their MLAs. The incident is an assault on democracy. Every citizen who believe in democracy has condemned the incident in the strongest words, he said.
Some Congress and JD(S) MLAs tried to ransack the Speaker’s chair in an effort to stop the acting speaker from conducting the election.
