N T Ramarao's grandson Janakiram dies in road accident

Legendary Telugu actor and late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao's grandson Nandamuri Janakiram died in a road accident in Nalgonda district of Telangana Saturday.

Janakiram, a film producer, is the son of veteran actor Nandamuri Harikrishna, who is also a leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

Police said the accident occurred when Janakiram's car collided with a tractor near Akupamala village in Munagala mandal of Nalgonda district.

He sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a private hospital in Kodad, where he succumbed.

Janakiram was on his way to Vijayawada from Hyderabad when the accident occurred. He was driving the vehicle and was alone.

He is survived by his wife and son, was recently selected as child actor for a Telugu film.
Janakiram used to produce films under the banner of NTR Arts.

His body was brought to Osmania General Hospital, where an autopsy will be done.
A pall of gloom descended on the house of Harkrishna here. Harikrishna and his wife and their daughter-in-law were inconsolable.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who is brother-in-law of Harkrishna, and his wife rushed to their house to console them.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, YSR Congress party chief Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy and leaders of various parties expressed their shock and grief.
