BUCC collapsed to a paltry 135 in 47.4 overs as Arjun Gowda picked up five wickets conceding a mere 20 runs.

In reply, JCA finished at 139 for seven in 24.5 overs, K Mahesh (41) and Lingaraju (33) doing the bulk of the scoring.

Sinan took five wickets for the vanquished, but didn’t have either the total or the support to make a serious impact on the game.

Madhyalkar strikes

Vijay Madhyalkar scalped six wickets to set up a three-wicket win for Bangalore Occasionals against Rajajinagar Colts CA in the KSCA Group I Division III tournament for the Sri Nassur Memorial Shield.

Madhyalkar (6/61) worked his magic with the ball to dismiss Rajajinagar, who batted first, for a modest 211 in 54.3 overs.

Sanjith Shankar assisted Madhyalkar well by picking up two wickets, while Durgaprasad top-scored for Rajajinagar with 65.

Mukesh then made sure that Occassionals did not falter in their chase as his 52 steered his side home to 213 for seven. Shankar shone with the bat too scoring an unbeaten 36 to lead his team home.
