At a time when movie buffs are already going gaga over Aamir's 'PK', Anurag Kashyap's 'Ugly' may have a tough time garnering the attention of the audience.

However, the 'Ugly' actor Rahul Bhatt is quite hung ho about his new release and declares that the movie is a classic and belongs to new age cinema.

The actor, whose first release 'Yeh Mohabbat Hai' was a dud at the box-office, stated that he is quite confident about the success of his latest venture.

Movie lovers, who are bored of watching the monotonous high voltage drama every Friday, will be happy watching 'Ugly' as it has a gripping storyline, added Rahul.

Talking about his new movie, Rahul stated, “Audiences complain about the standard masala fare being churned out every Friday. ‘Ugly’ is content-driven new-age cinema. I am confident it will be well-received."

The 'Ugly' actor, who was waiting for a good script all these years, articulated that he is proud of his new project.

Besides 'Ugly', Rahut Bhatt will also be seen playing the lead role in Sudhir Mishra's upcoming flick 'Aur Devdas'.

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, 'Ugly' stars Rahut Bhatt, Suvreen Chawla, Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolhapure in prominent roles.

After facing high tides and ebb tides for almost two years, Anurag Kashyap's 'Ugly' is finally hitting the screens today, on Dec 26.
