The 15th edition of the flagship event of the biotechnology industry, the ‘Bangalore INDIA BIO2015’ begins on Monday (February 9, 2015) at The Lalit Ashok, and will conclude on Wednesday (February 11, 2015).
The organisers said that this year’s edition will feature 22 conference sessions, 110 impact speakers, and 15-plus overseas delegations.
According to the conference programme, dignitaries at the inaugural event include Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Union Minister of State for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar, Union Minister of State for Renewable Energy, Coal and Power Piyush Goyal, and State Information Technology and Biotechnology Minister S R Patil. Sanjaya Rajaram, World Food Prize laureate, is delivering the keynote lecture.
A recent pre-Budget memorandum presented by ABLE (Association of Biotechnology-Led Enterprises)to the Centre claims the sector will grow to $100 billion by 2025.
