Baig's son lodges plaint over hacking of FB account

Information Minister Roshan Baig’s son R Ruman Baig has lodged a complaint stating that his deactivated Facebook account was hacked and used to send abusive messages. 

A senior police official said that Ruman Baig had lodged the complaint at the remote FIR centre at Mantri Square mall in Malleswaram. According to the complaint, the person using the Facebook account has been sending abusive messages to women.

The police said that Ruman had opened a new Facebook account after deactivating his earlier profile. Some unknown person has hacked into his earlier account and started using it to send abusive messages, the complaint stated.

DCP (East) Sateesh Kumar said that the complaint was received from the FIR kiosk and has been transferred to the jurisdictional Pulakeshinagar police station.  

“The suspect is not using the account presently. The investigation is on to track down the Internet Protocol address. ,” an official said.
