For the third consecutive week, the Deccan Herald Theatre Fest continued to draw crowd at Chowdiah Memorial Hall in the City.

On Saturday, the audience was in for a spellbinding performance of the play ‘Avasthe’ by a team from the Centre for Film and Drama.

The play is an adaption of U R Ananthamurthy’s novel and is directed by Prakash Belawadi. It showcases the nuances and intricacies of the current state of politics and how politicians are bogged down in a game of compromise to survive. The play will also be performed at Rangashankara on February 24 and at Jagriti on February 26 and 27.
Next week on February 28, Sadiqa Peerbhoy’s ‘Marry Go Round’ directed by Ashish Sen will be performed.

The play will also have repeat performances at Rangashankara on March 10 and at Jagriti on March 5 and 6, which will wrap up this year's DH Theatre Fest.
