After hectic deliberations of almost two months, finally the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the BJP have ironed out their differences over all the contentious issues with the PDP patriarch Mufti Mohammad Sayeed set to be sworn in as chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday at 11 am.

Sources told Deccan Herald that the swearing-in ceremony would be held at Zorawar Auditorium of Jammu University, in which besides Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP national president Amit Shah and several senior union ministers are expected to be present. It will be for first time ever that the BJP will be in power in the politically sensitive state.

The sources said ahead of the swearing-in ceremony, security around Jammu University was tightened on Thursday and National Security Guard commandos are expected to take over the venue on Friday.

Ahead of the swearing-in ceremony Mufti alongwith his trusted lieutenant and legislator Haseeb Drabu flew to New Delhi on Thursday afternoon to meet Modi to give formal shape to government formation in the state.
