Tulu film 'Soombe' to be released today

Soombe Tulu film produced under the banner Sri Yajnadhya productions, will be released on Friday in 12 theatres in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi.

Briefing reporters at Cinepolis in Mangaluru on Wednesday, Film Director Saikrishna said the film is a love story with a comedy punch. The film is a new experiment in Tulu film industry.
He said Mangaluru lad Rahul and Mumbai girl Srithama Mukharjee play the lead.

Also, Devdas Kapikad, Navin D Padil, Bhojraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar and Kannada actors Bullet Prakash, Biradar form the cast. Diamond star Shrinagara Kitty makes guest appearance.

There are five songs in the film, sung by Gurukiran, Rajesh Krishnan, Jogi Suneetha, Supriya Lohith, Vismay Vinayak and Dhananjay Verma. Devdas Kapikad has lent his voice for the first time. The score is given by Edberg Dilon and lyrics is by Shashiraj Kavoor.

Choreography is made by Madan Harini, Dev Sampath and Sada Master. Sujith Nayak has done the editing and Kaurav Venkatesh has directed the stunts. The film has been shot in 38 days in various locations in Mangaluru, Saklaleshpur and Bengaluru.

The total budget of the film is Rs 1 crore and is produced by Shwetha Kishor, Kishor Kottari and his three brothers Hemanth Kottari, Anith Kottrari and Ashwith Kottari, he said.  Director Saikrishna himself has written the story, screenplay and dialogues.

The film will be screened in Jyothi, Bharat Big Cinemas, Cinepolice and PVR in Mangaluru. It will also be run in Udupi, Karkala, Manipal, Moodbidri, Belthangadi, B C Road and Puttur.
