Green corridor created for a 50-year old brain dead patient

A green corridor has been created from Mysuru to Bengaluru to bring 50-year old Kalegowda, a brain dead patient.  A green corridor has been created and the patient whose family has approved organ donation is expected to reach by 11.30pm on Friday.

Gowda, whose family has consented organ donation is being brought by road to BGS Global hospitals in Kengeri, Bengaluru, according to the spokesperson of BGS hospitals.

Gowda met with an accident near Kushalnagar after which he was admitted to KR hospitals in Mysuru.

According to officials from the zonal coordination committee of karnataka for organ transplantation,  based on the patient's condition, a decision would be taken.

"Since it is an accident case, we will also need clearance from the police. Donation world happen only in the morning," said Manjula, chief transplant coordinator , zonal coordination committee of karnataka.
