<p>A major tragedy was averted by local residents and staff at a petrol bunk near Lal Bagh West Gate as a car caught fire. Two fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The incident took place at 10.40 pm when the car was approaching the bunk. <br /><br />Thick smoke followed by flames were noticed in the engine. Soon the car was engulfed in fire. <br />Technical fault is stated to the cause for the mishap. The incident led to tension for a while as it occurred close to a petrol bunk. <br /><br />Nobody was injured in the mishap, fire force personnel said.<br /></p>
