Last Updated 19 March 2015, 21:38 IST

The State government may be dragging its feet on handing over the investigation into Ravi’s death to the CBI. But three of the party’s MPs from the State want the case to be handed over to the central agency for investigation immediately.

On Thursday, D K Suresh (Bengaluru Rural), Muddahanume Gowda (Tumakuru) and Dhruvanarayan (Chamarajanagar) demanded that the State should get the CBI to probe the sensational death case of the IAS officer.

Suresh, who met Congress president Sonia Gandhi here, urged her to advise the State government to hand over the investigation to the CBI without any delay.

In his letter to Gandhi, he said that by not ordering a CBI probe, the State government was losing credibility in the eyes of the people.

Muddahanume Gowda and Dhruvanarayan said they would meet the chief minister and request him to hand over the probe to the CBI.

A large number of IAS aspirants, who were taking coaching in the national capital, staged a protest, demanding a fair investigation into the officer’s death.
