Graduation Day at CMR


CMR Institute of Management Studies celebrated its third Graduation Day recently. The chief guest, Professor N Prabhu Dev, Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University, in his speech referred to the reforms he wished to bring about in the examination system and also reiterated the significance of e-learning in the present times.  His message of the preciousness of human life tinged with humour appealed to the  gathering. Dr Sabitha Ramamurthy, President, CMR Jnanadhara Trust, in her presidential  address, asked the students to follow their heart and pursue the course and career that  they desired. K C Ramamurthy, Chairman, CMR Group of Institutions administered the oath. The students clad in their graduation attire, carried lighted candles that created the ambience required for the occasion. The parents watched  the proceedings with great avidity and enthusiasm.


‘Choose the right path’

Surana College P G Centre held their Graduation Day recently. Chief guest R S Deshpande, Director, Institute for Social and Economic Change, in his inaugural address, recalled some nostalgic moments as well as called upon the students to avoid
aberration by choosing the right path.

O P Khanna, senior technocrat, asked students not to have a narrow mindset and to aspire, inculcate change for free intellectual growth. Meritorious students were felicitated and silver medals were given from the college as memorabilia for outgoing students. The programme commenced with an invocation rendered by Sriranjani and Anjali Jagannath. 

Cultural carnival

The festive mood of Aspiration-09, the national level cultural carnival of PES College
of Pharmacy started with a grand inaugural function on May 23.

Pandit Pravin Godkhindi, flautist and music director was the chief guest.
Kannada movie director Shivamani was the guest of honour.
Prof M R Doreswamy presided over the function.
Pandit Pravin Godkhindi mesmerised the audience by playing his flute on Hamsa Dhwani raga.
He suggested the students to listen to Indian classical music for at least an hour every week so as to enhance concentration and performance level. He felicitated  academic
achievers with medals.
 Prof  M R D released the annual college magazine Vision and felicitated the guests.

Annual Day function

Rajarajeswari College of Engineering celebrated its third annual day function
Chiranthana 2009 at the college premises recently.
Chairman A C Shanmugam, Dr Mayilswamy Annadurai, Project Director Chandrayana-1,ISRO Bangalore, R M Vasagam, former vice-chancellor Anna University, Chennai; cine artists Avinash,Muni, the principal along with the staff, students
and parents graced the occasion.
The function started with a prayer followed by welcome address by the group executive officer V R Shanmugam.
The Chairman presided over the function and inspired the students to become job makers rather than job seekers.  


A fitting farewell to students

Krupanidhi Degree College celebrated its graduation day recently. The outgoing graduate students were conferred course completion certificates while outstanding and meritorious students were given awards by the management.
The juniors gave a fitting farewell to the outgoing students by distributing mementos and performing cultural programmes.
