Rajarajeshwaringar MLA Muniratna has moved an application seeking anticipatory bail before Lokayukta Special Court in the case of proposing already completed works under Urban Development Scheme for the year.

The Lokayukta police had registered an FIR against Muniratna and other officials of BBMP Rajarajeshwarinagar division for clearing the proposal on the instructions of MLA.
Lokayukta Special Court judge V G Bopaiah on Monday directed the Public Prosecutor appearing for Lokayukta police to file objections on the application. The mater has been posted for hearing to June 5.

In his application, Muniratna has contended that he has not directed any official to prepare the list of works to be executed under the scheme for the year 2015.  The Lokayukta police had registered the case on May 5 and arrested Executive Engineer (Planning) N Vijaya Kumar, who had proposed 45 works, of which 20 works that were already completed. The State government had released Rs 45 crore to Rajarajeshwarinagar division.
