JOIN USThe State government has appointed senior IAS officer Ajai Seth as the managing director of the Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited (KBJNL).
Seth had found out how companies which are into e-commerce were out of the VAT net, when he was the commissioner of the Commercial Taxes department.
However, even before the issue could be brought to a logical end, Seth went on leave for six months. The government gave him the new posting on Wednesday.
The government has given new postings to a few other senior IAS officers with immediate effect - Rajkumar Khatri, Principal Secretary, Revenue department (Disaster Management, Bhoomi and urban property ownership records (UPOR) project); Shambhu Dayal Meena, Principal Secretary, Housing department; Kapil Mohan, Principal Secretary, Education department (Primary and Secondary Education); S R Umashankar, Commissioner, Excise department; Ritesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Finance department (expenditure); Adoni Syed Saleem, Secretary, Minorities Welfare, Haj and Wakf department.
D V Prasad is posted as Chairman and Managing Director of the Karnataka State Finance Corporation, Bengaluru.
