Clear encroached footpaths

The New Thippasandra Main Road has become a nightmare for motorists and pedestrians. With the footpaths encroached by shop owners and push cart vendors, vehicles parked haphazardly on either side and one way violations by motorists; navigating a vehicle through this road requires special skill. Pedestrians need courage to walk or cross the road. Traffic cops are not seen in this locality to monitor the unruly traffic, especially during peak hours. The BBMP authorities and the police should to take urgent action to evict the encroachment.

Intermittent power supply
I have been a resident of AGB Layout, Chikkabanavara Post, Hesaraghatta Main Road, for the last 18 months. Daily power cuts have become a huge problem here. The Bescom office phones are never reachable, while the junior engineers and assistant engineers are rude when contacted. The Bescom officials should be taken to task for their inaction, poor maintenance and rude behaviour.

Uncleared waste on Seetharamaiah Road
Waste management on the MV Seetharamaiah Road in Gavipuram extension has been neglected, in spite of the corporator living on the same road. With this sort of waste maintenance, not only dengue but even the extinct plague may recur. People should be penalised for their callousness.

Sewage pool inside park
There is a low lying area inside the BBMP park located between 7th Main and 10 Main on 16th Cross, Isro Layout. Whenever there are heavy rains, this area is inundated with water. For the last couple of months, sewage from the drain adjacent to the park has been gushing into this low lying area. As a result, it is now a pool of rain water mixed with sewage. It emanates a considerable stench and to make matters worse hundreds of mosquitoes have swamped the area. The park is frequented by many morning walkers and playing children. With the approaching rainy season, this problem will only worsen. Complaints have been made to the BBMP, but no action has been taken. I request the authorities concerned to look into the issue at the earliest and provide speedy redress.

Dispose trimmed branches
I am a resident of HSR Layout. Many trees line the roads here and the Bescom takes up the work of trimming the branches that come in contact with electricity cables. This is done regularly, but the trimmed branches are left to fall on the road and into the compounds of houses. Who is in charge of clearing these branches? The branches obstruct pedestrians and vehicles alike. Will the officials ensure that the trimmed branches are disposed.

Deteriorating road
I am a resident of Hagadur in Whitefield, and suffer from the heavy traffic in the locality. To make matters worse, the road condition has also deteriorated in the last four months. The heavy rains have broken the road surface and the potholes are a danger for vehicles, especially at night. The authorities concerned should take steps to restore the road.

Remove uprooted tree in Koramangala
A huge tree was uprooted over a month ago on 16th Main Road, Koramangala. It now covers half of the road and a few branches hang dangerously from the fallen tree. It is very unsafe for the residents and their children who play and cycle on the road. It is also an inconvenience for passing vehicles. I request the authorities concerned to remove the fallen tree.

Trash raises stink on KR Road
A huge pile of garbage welcomes the occupants and office goers of Brigade MM Industrial Estate building on KR Road in Jayanagar 7th Block. We constantly worry that the filth, stink and mosquitoes could pose serious health hazards. The authorities have designated this space as a garbage collection point and it has become unbearable to work here. When it has rained the previous day, the road becomes a mess. We have written letters and also complained to the authorities. We have also reached out through social media platforms such as Twitter to the BBMP Commissioner. However, the complaints have fallen on deaf ears.

Restore dug-up road
The condition of 1st Cross Road in Krishnanagar Layout under Uttarahalli Ward No 184, has been deteriorating ever since the BWSSB dug it up to lay concrete sanitary pipes.

It has been over a year and the road has still not been levelled or asphalted. Residents find it difficult to even walk, especially when it rains. Assurances by the local corporator and the MLA of our constituency have not been translated into action. Rainy season is fast approaching and the residents' woes will continue if the road is not asphalted and restored immediately. The residents can only hope that the BBMP officials and the elected representatives will wake up to address the problem.

I have been repeatedly urging the authorities concerned to carry out the repair work, only to face disappointment.

Bus shelter needed
Vidyamanya Nagar Bus shelter was razed during marginal expansion and road metaling of Andrahalli Main Road. Will the concerned authorities restore the shelter to help commuters who wait for the bus service?
