<p>Three including a baby boy died when a car went off road, rolled over thrice and hit a rock in a field, on National Highway 75 near Harisave on Sunday. Three other passengers in the car were injured. <br /><br /></p>.<p>According to the police, Sharath (24) from Mattikere village in Ramanagara district, Mamatha (35) from Bengaluru and her son Dhanush (2) are the dead. <br /><br />The driver, Umesh from Bengaluru, Nandini and Siddaraju from Ramanagara, have been severely injured.<br /><br />The six of them had set out to Channarayapatna for an engagement ceremony of a relative. On reaching Mattanavile, the driver lost control of the speeding car. The car rolled over thrice and hit a rock in a field next to the road, said the police. <br /><br />Passersby ran to the rescue of the passengers. Mamata died on the spot, while Sharath and Dhanush succumbed to their injuries on the way to the hospital, said the police.<br /><br />The injured were taken to the Harisave Government Hospital. Hundreds of relatives from Channarayapatna rushed to the hospital on hearing the news of the accident.<br />Worn out tyres and over-speeding could have caused the accident, said the police.<br /><br /></p>
