DC visits centre of exam for selection of teachers

Deputy Commissioner paid a visit to Government P U College in Basavanahalli in Chikkamagaluru, which was one of the the examination centres for the selection of high school teachers on Monday and carried out an inspection.

The examinations are being conducted by the department of public instructions and were held for three days starting from Saturday.

On Monday, the exam was held for the selection of Hindi teachers.

186 of 218 candidates appeared for the examination. 19 of 25 candidates wrote exams for the selection of Sanskrit, Urdu, Marathi and Tamil teachers.

3126 of 3572 candidates appeared for the general aptitude test held on Saturday. In afternoon, 2136 of 2375 attended examination for social science teachers.

156 of 218 attended the exam meant for the selection of Physical education teachers.
487 of 560  candidates appeared for the exams for the selection of  teachers. 

In the afternoon, 815 of 960 candidates wrote exam for the selection of Kannada teachers. 292 appeared for the exams for the selection of English teachers. 

Many candidates outside the city, had arrived  and halted in the city, a day in advance.
