Police warn habitual offenders

Last Updated 02 August 2015, 19:42 IST

The South-East division police carried out a drive against habitual offenders and rounded up as many as 92 of them from Mico Layout and Parappana Agrahara police limits on Sunday.

The team headed by Rohini Katoch, deputy commissioner of police (South-East), summoned the offenders involved in chain-snatching and robbery incidents and asked them to report to their jurisdictional police stations and give details about their day-to-day activities. This will help us to keep a check on them, she said. The offenders were given stern warning not to indulge in illegal activities. A senior police officer said: “ We carried out a routine check on the offenders as there has been a rise in chain-snatching and attention diversion incidents.”
