<p>A mock drill is conducted by the Railways annually to test employees.<br /><br />Information was passed on to the railway staff at the City railway station around 5 pm that a collision had taken place between a passenger train and a roadroller at Chikabanavar (near Yeshwantpur). <br /><br />The Accident Relief Medical Van (ARMV) (an emergency train) left for the spot within 20 minutes and a breakdown train van rushed from the City station. <br /><br />All top railway personnel accompanied doctors and medical staff who went by the ARMV. On reaching the spot, the teams realised that it was just a mock drill. <br /><br />When asked for his reaction, Divisional Railway Manager, Bangalore Division, Akhil Agrawal said the railway staff had given a good account of themselves. <br /><br />“Both the vans left within the scheduled time. It shows that the Division is quite ready to tackle emergencies,” he said. <br /><br />Last year, a mock drill was conducted at Byappanahalli station by informing staff that a goods train had derailed.</p>
