The mother of all burgers

With burger joints mushrooming in the City like there’s no tomorrow, ‘Mother Cluckers’ in Indiranagar is still holding its own. The two-year-old restaurant has now become the favourite spot of many Bengalureans, who enjoy coming here especially after work. The place was started by the owners of ‘Plan B’ — Thashvin Muckatira and Sundeep Nayak.

The rough, informal space has low lighting, unfinished wall surfaces, vintage comic posters and exposed air-conditioner ducts and every hour spent here is a happy one. With popular hits from the 90s and 2000s playing in the background, anyone walking in can relate to the music as well. The waiters are professional and offer the customers the guidance that they require. Moreover, one need not wait for the waiters to bring the menu to them as it is in the form of a huge board and already available on the table.

As the name might indicate, the restaurant is a non-vegetarian’s paradise. Though there are some vegetarian options as well, they are not that many. The ‘soft shell fish tacos with cucumber relish’ leaves one asking for more. 

The bite-sized ‘pulled pork sliders with pineapple relish’, ‘Philly cheese steak burger’ which can be considered as ‘the mother of all burgers’, the succulent ‘braised lamb shanks with herb rice’, and the unique melt-in-your-mouth ‘smoked chicken mousse tartlet’ are some of the other favourites here.
