21-year-old dies after bike skids off road

A 21-year-old youth was killed while two others escaped unhurt after the motorcycle they were riding triple skidded off the road at Kavalbyrasandra under RT Nagar police station limits on Saturday.

According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Avinash, a resident of Kavalbyrasandra and an employee of a private company in Guraguntepalya.

He was riding triple with his friends Naresh and Chandru. While Chandru was riding the bike, Avinash and Naresh were on the pillion. Chandru noticed a car coming in the opposite direction and applied brakes which resulted in the trio falling down after losing control over the bike.

Avinash suffered  a minor injury on his knee while Chandru and Naresh escaped unhurt, said the police.

Avinash was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was subjected to first-aid treatment. The duo dropped Avinash at his house. After a few minutes Avinash started developing breathing complications and was rushed to a nearby private hospital where he was treated and sent home, said the police.

Towards evening, Avinash again started having breathing problems and was bleeding from his ears and nose. The family members rushed him to MS Ramaiah Hospital where he was declared brought dead. The body was shifted for postmortem and the reports are being awaited to ascertain the cause of death, the police said.

Meanwhile, the RT Nagar traffic police have registered a case and will question the deceased’s friends to gather information about the incident.
