The State government, which plans to start construction on the 33.5-km-long line by July this year, is keen to design the rapid transport project in a way that it should be on a par with international standards.
“The government will make sure it will not encounter the problems it faced when the new airport was coming up,” an official told Deccan Herald here, adding that “we will monitor every step of the construction as well as operations”.
Some special features of the project, which the government would concentrate on, include building three stations at M G Road, Hebbal and Yelahanka.
