JOIN USEncroached portions of land worth Rs 69 crore were cleared by Bengaluru Urban District officials in various parts of Bengaluru on Saturday.
A drive was held in Pillahalli at Dasanapura hobli, Bengaluru North, where 4.20 acres of land was cleared. In Kachohalli 3.16 acres were cleared. These pieces of land were sanctioned under the Ashraya scheme.
Drives continued at Sadenalli, Hesaraghatta hobli, Bengaluru North taluk, where 8.10 acres were cleared, followed by 2.15 acres in Mailappanahalli and 7.13 acre at Sugatta village in Jala hobli.
In Bengaluru South taluk, 1.11 acres of land and 1.08 acres of land at Gonipura village in Kengeri, were cleared of encroachments. In East taluk, about 1.04 acres at Amni Belanduru Khane village, Varthur hobli, 0.24 at Varthur village, 0.25 acre at Kachamaranahalli, 0.30 acre land at Sulikunte and 1.29 acres at Chikkanayakanahalli were cleared.
