<p>Four motorcyclists were killed and two other men were injured in two separate road accidents in the capital on Thursday. <br /><br /></p>.<p>The first incident was reported from Lajpat Nagar, where two men died and one was seriously injured when their motorcycle rammed into a road divider.<br /><br />The deceased have been identified as Abhishek, 18, and Aamir, 25, who hailed from West Bengal. The injured, 27-year-old Mukesh, is from Uttarakhand. They lived in rented houses at Zamrudpur.<br /><br />A call was made to the police control room at 4 am. “It was about a road accident near the BRT corridor. The injured were rushed to AIIMS, where Abhishek and Aamir were declared brought dead,” said a police officer.<br /><br />Mukesh’s condition remains serious.<br />Police said Abhishek was speeding. “He lost balance and rammed into a road divider at Lajpat Nagar,” the officer added.<br /><br />The investigating officers found only one helmet at the spot. Abhishek was a student, while Aamir worked as driver.<br /><br />In a similar accident, two youths died when their motorcycle was rammed by an unknown vehicle at Delhi Cantonment. Another man was injured.<br /><br />The identity of the errant driver remains unknown.<br />Manish, 21, a resident of Moti Bagh and Gaurav Gupta, 20, of Kirari, were found injured along with 23-year-old Prashant near Rao Tula Ram Marg. “They were taken to AIIMS with severe head injuries, which proved fatal,” a police officer said. The medical examination revealed that they were under the influence of alcohol.<br /><br />Separate cases of rash driving and causing death by negligence have been filed.<br /></p>
